ACTON MCHENLEY
Acton McHenley is a Legal Paraprofessional at the Land Loss Prevention Project, where he engages in research, outreach, and education around community-centered land access, use, and retention. Prior to joining the Land Loss Prevention Project, Acton received a J.D. and a Masters of City and Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, where he completed a masters project on land rematriation as both a legal obligation and a climate adaptation strategy. He also received a graduate certificate in Natural Hazards and assisted with the editing and updating of the North Carolina Environmental Law Practice Guide. Before graduate school, Acton served as an Agriculture Extension Volunteer with the Peace Corps in Paraguay.
